Dock/Boat Launch Dedication

Here are some pictures of our successful dock/boat launch dedication. Many thanks to the crew that built the structure and to the Social Committee for all the goodies and the plans that created such a nice gathering.

Thanks to the organization skills of Charles Sumrell and the below listed crew who put together this new addition for all residents to use to launch small craft from the Gazebo common area.

Come join your neighbors this Saturday, July 12th at the Gazebo Common Area @ 7 am, yes 7 am to move material, watch, or otherwise get involved. If you come after 8 am bring coffee and donuts and a  :-)

William Robert Staten III



CLERMONT | William Robert Staten, III, 76, of  Clermont community, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his residence.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was formerly employed at General Motors as vice-president of sales.
He is survived by three sisters, Ruby S. Darden, Laura Thompson, and Joyce Fisher, all of New Bern.
The funeral will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Crossroads Baptist Church 1802 Hwy. 70 East
with the Rev. Buford R. Lewis, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing hours are Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Oscar's Mortuary and at the church an hour prior to the service.

It is with much sadness that we report the passing of two people connected to our community

Madelyn Sambrook, mother of resident Karen Sullivan has died as well as long time resident Robert Staten. Our sincere sympathy goes to both families

Services for Madelyn Sambrook will be in Hamdem, Conn. at a later date

Services for Robert Staten are yet to be determined




The semiannual community meeting will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 7:30 pm
