- Electric service is provided by
City of New Bern.

- A $35.00 connection charge will appear on your first bill.
- Some Lake Clermont homes use propane which is stored in a tank somewhere on the property.
Tank refills, service and account billing are handled through the company providing your propane.
- Other Lake Clermont homes have converted to natural gas which is serviced & billed by
Piedmont Natural Gas.
- Home owners wanting to convert to natural gas may accomplish such by calling Piedmont at 877-279-3636.
- Water service is provided by
Craven County Water.

- A $75.00 fee ($50.00 deposit and $25.00 service call fee) must be paid at time of application.

- A convenience center is a county run solid waste facility; a few examples of what you might bring to one, include:

This center is difficult to see from the road, so you will likely pass it the first time you go!

- Recycling service is provided by
GFL Environmental,
a Canadian firm with a USA presence, subcontracting to
Craven County.
- Call the Craven County Solid Waste Department at 252-636-6659 to have a recycling
cart delivered to your home.
- Check here to identify items allowed in the curbside recycling program.
- Place all allowable recycling items in the recycling cart - no need to separate by item type.
- Recycling day is monthly on a Monday; we are a Blue Collection Day.

- Trash service is provided by
Craven County.
- Trash day is Monday; please have your pail(s) out by 7:00 AM.
- Trash service is not covered by your local taxes, nor by your POA fees; instead, you'll need to choose one of the following implementations:
- Utilize County Services:
- Purchase a 33 gallon trash recepticle from a store like Lowes or Walmart.
- Purchase county trash stickers at any of
these retailers; stickers are $3.00 apiece.
- Put your trash (not to exceed 50 pounds) in the 33 gallon trash recepticle.
- Put one trash sticker on the handle of your trash recepticle - two stickers if your trash exceeds 50 pounds.
- Put trash out before 7:00 AM on Mondays.
- Contract with GFL Environmental, directly:
- GFL Environmental will provide you with a 94 gallon trash recepticle.
- Put trash out before 7:00 AM on Mondays.
- Call to determine cost and establish service.
- Yard debris is not taken by the trash service.
- Take yard debris to one of Craven's convenience centers
(see Convenience Centers above).
